Asst Professor of Trombone Youngstown State University


The Dana School of Music of Youngstown State University is pleased to announce that we are seeking qualified applicants for Assistant Professor of Music – Trombone (Tenure Track). The full posting and instructions for application can be found here.

Youngstown State University is located in northeast Ohio, halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. The region offers ample professional playing opportunities.

The Dana School of Music was founded nearly 150 years ago in 1869, making it one of the oldest music programs in the United States. More than fifty faculty and staff maintain a tradition of conservatory-style music training in a metropolitan university setting. Dana offers Bachelor of Music degrees in composition, music education, music performance, jazz studies, and recording technology. Candidates may also earn the Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in music history, music theory, or applied music. At the graduate level, programs leading to the Master of Music degree are available to full or part time students in the areas of composition, theory, education, history, performance (including conducting), and jazz studies.
