Dallas Symphony Trombone Quartet Concert and Workshop
February 20 @ 1:15 pm – 4:00 pm
The trombone quartet from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra will be visiting Belfast on Friday, February 20th. As part of their educational tour of Ireland, they will perform a concert and host a masterclass at the Harty Room in Queens University.
This is an exceptional opportunity for all brass players in Northern Ireland to experience world-class chamber music and exceptional trombone playing. Should you have any inquiries or express interest in participating in the masterclass, please contact me at NathanMooreNI@gmail.com
Formed from the low brass section of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony Trombone Quartet brings the power, precision, and artistry of the concert stage to an intimate chamber music setting. Comprising Barry Hearn, Chris Oliver, Brian Hecht, and Darren McHenry, the ensemble showcases the versatility of the trombone through an exciting mix of classical favorites, jazz standards, new music, and original arrangements.
In addition to their concert appearances, the Dallas Symphony Trombone Quartet is dedicated to music education and community engagement, regularly performing outreach concerts, masterclasses, and educational workshops across North Texas.
Whether performing in the Meyerson Symphony Center, at schools and community events, or on tour, the Dallas Symphony Trombone Quartet connects with audiences of all ages through their humor and love for great music
