The Ohio State University Trombone Day
March 29
We invite high school and college trombonists, professionals, and adult hobbyists/non-students to join us for an exciting day of performances, master classes, and more.
Learn from and be inspired by our special guest David Taylor — a trailblazing bass trombonist renowned for his versatility across classical, jazz, and popular music. He has performed with Leopold Stokowski’s American Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic under Pierre Boulez, as well as the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra and recorded with legends such as Duke Ellington, The Rolling Stones, and Blood, Sweat & Tears.
Participants will perform in concert with Taylor and The Ohio State Trombone Choir under the direction of Professor Shafer. We hope to see you there!
