DESCRIPTION:The University of Memphis Trombone Choir\, under the direction of Dr. Martin McCain will celebrate International Trombone Week on April 7\, 2025. \n\n\n\nThe University of Memphis Trombone Choir is a pedagogical extension of the Trombone Studio and specializes in performing original music written for 4- to 16- part trombone ensembles. The Trombone Choir is comprised of undergraduate and graduate trombonists performing on alto\, tenor\, bass and contrabass trombones. The University of Memphis Trombone Choir performs regularly on campus and is one of the most active chamber ensembles in the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music while performing regularly at athletic events\, concert series and throughout the tri-state area. The Trombone Choir has performed at the Big 12 Trombone Conference\, Tennessee Music Educator’s Association Convention\, American Trombone Workshop and the International Trombone Festival.
