SUMMARY:University of Wisconsin-Madison Low Brass Ensemble
DESCRIPTION:This program is for all ages. Registration is preferred but not required. \n\n\n\nWhitewater Public Library is excited to host a Badger Talk performance featuring University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Low Brass Ensemble. A collective of the Trombone Choir and Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble\, the ensemble performs original compositions\, transcriptions\, and arrangements across genres\, showcasing the expressive potential of low brass in every form.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this program\, they will delight audiences with 45 to 60 minutes of music from a recent or upcoming concert. There is also an opportunity for informal interaction with the performers after the concert. \n\n\n\nDiscover the bold\, resonant voice of the UW–Madison Low Brass Ensemble\, where the power of sound meets the artistry of collaboration. Directed by Professor Tom Curry and Professor Mark Hetzler\, two leading low brass educators and performers\, this ensemble showcases the full spectrum of low brass brilliance—from the thunderous depths of the tuba to the soaring warmth of the trombone and euphonium.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the annual Atlanta Trombone Day at Georgia State University during International Trombone Week! We welcome high school students\, collegiate and early professionals to attend this event featuring performances by Jennifer Wharton\, bass trombone guest artist\, the Atlanta Trombone Ensemble under the direction of Gil Estes\, and the Georgia State University Trombone Choir\, led by Dr. Bill Mann.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe day kicks off with group warm-ups to focus and prepare for a day of music. Attendees will participate in masterclasses and rehearsals refining their skills and gaining valuable insights from professionals. The event will include recitals of chamber music\, our guest artist\, Jennifer Wharton’s recital\, and culminates in a final concert\, showcasing trombone ensembles\, including the Mass Trombone Ensemble\, where all participants will perform together under the direction of Dr. Bill Mann and Gil Estes. \n\n\n\nAtlanta Trombone Day offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow trombonists\, develop new skills\, and share your passion for trombone. DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the School of Music at Stetson University\, we welcome you to our 3rd annual Trombone Day. Stetson is committed to developing and supporting the highest standards in music education and performance. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe invite intermediate to advanced middle and high school students to join us for Trombone Day on Saturday\, April 11\, to explore our beautiful campus\, make new friends and grow as a trombonist and overall musician. In this day-long event\, you will have the opportunity to participate in a group warm-up session\, observe a masterclass\, rehearse in a mass trombone choir setting and be featured in the final performance of the day for parents and teachers to enjoy. Our guest artist for the event is Joseph L. Jefferson\, Associate Professor of Jazz/Commercial Trombone and Director of Jazz Ensembles at St. Olaf College. \n\n\n\nThe first 50 participants to register for the event will be entered into a raffle to win a free Sshhmute practice mute. \n\n\n\nPlayground Music will also be on-site with trombones available for demonstration and products available for purchase.
