SUMMARY:Third Coast Trombone Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The Third Coast Trombone Retreat returns to the scenic shores of Lake Michigan in Montague\, Michigan for a transformative 7-day trombone immersion. Open to advanced high school\, college\, and amateur trombonists\, the retreat offers a comprehensive experience including private lessons\, masterclasses\, chamber music\, trombone choir\, mock auditions\, and performances throughout the local community. Participants will also engage in sessions on performance psychology\, wellness\, entrepreneurship\, and career-building—developing not only as performers\, but as well-rounded 21st-century musicians. \n\n\n\nWith a highly selective participant program (including lessons\, performances\, and free housing) and flexible auditor options\, the retreat fosters a supportive and inspiring environment across venues throughout Montague. A typical day includes warm-ups\, ensemble playing\, lessons\, masterclasses\, and evening recitals or special events\, all set within a peaceful lakeside setting. Shuttle service is available from nearby airports\, and accepted applicants will be notified by April 20.

SUMMARY:Bowling Green State University Summer Music Trombone Camp
DESCRIPTION:Are you a high school trombonist interested in a challenging atmosphere where you can improve on your skills? Join us this summer for the SMI Trombone Camp! Students will receive individual guidance from Dr. Jeremy Marks at BGSU. A typical day could include trombone ensembles\, private lessons\, seminars\, or student or faculty performances. Each student will have the opportunity to perform on the final concert. \n\n\n\nPreparation:Students should be entering 9-12 grades and should prepare an etude and/or solo for placement in ensembles on the first day of camp. Major scales and sightreading may be requested. \n\n\n\nScholarships:Scholarships are available to help defray the cost of the camp.
