Fanfare contest winner


Update: ITA 50th Anniversary Trombone Fanfare Composition Competition

In December 2022, we invited submissions for a 50-second-long trombone fanfare in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the International Trombone Association. Works were to be written for six tenor trombones and two bass trombones.

The winning submission is Fanfare for the World by David Miller! Miller is studying composition at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York (U.S.A.). He has dedicated this fanfare to “all of the incredible people who make up the trombone community”.

Trombone players may download and perform it at no cost (see below). Miller’s wonderful new work has been introduced to the world as part of International Trombone Week (ITW) and we encourage trombone ensembles to share recordings of their performances.
