Sean Reynolds

Sean Reynolds is a bass trombonist and educator based in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a performer, he has appeared with ensembles including the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, and Allen Philharmonic. He was previously a member of the Queen City Trombone Quartet and continues to aintain an active freelance schedule across his home state of North Carolina.

As an educator, Sean recently taught over 40 private low brass students across three public school districts in Texas, with numerous students earning placement in All-Region and All-State ensembles and receiving college music scholarships. He previously served as an adjunct instructor of low brass at Thomas More University and taught private lessons and group classes at the Cincinnati Brass Academy. He remains active as a clinician and sectional coach, working with middle and high school programs across North Carolina.

Sean is currently completing his Doctor of Musical Arts in Trombone Performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where his research centers on an annotated guide to chamber music for trombone. He also holds a Master of Music from CCM and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from East Carolina University. His primary teachers include Peter Norton and Tim Anderson.
