The International Women’s Brass Conference, held May 24-28th, will be hosted by the University of North Texas in Denton Texas! Open to all genders, ages, and ability levels, the International Women’s Brass Conference is a celebration of diversity and inclusion in the brass community.
One of the highlights of the conference are the competitions with over $40,000 in cash prizes. The solo competition is open to all brass instruments and has two categories (23 and younger and 24 and older). The ensemble competition is open to all like- instrument ensembles and each ensemble gets a featured recital during the conference. There are two mock audition competitions: Orchestra and Band. The competitions are open to all ages and instruments, and winners receive cash prizes and advance to a final round just like a real audition. All competitors receive a significant discount on conference registration and have the opportunity to perform in a masterclass for our guest artists.
