Christian Jones gave the world premiere of Benjamin Ellin’s Gresley on October 7, 2021 with the Orchestra of Opera North. The piece is the first bass trombone concerto commissioned by a professional British orchestra for one of its members. Gresley was also sponsored by Conn-Selmer Inc. and the Ralph Vaughan Williams Trust.
