Building on the success and popularity of the 2018 University Faculty Showcase, the 2019 International Trombone Festival will feature university faculty in a series of daily recitals focusing on new music, and/or innovative programming. The ITF invites university faculty from around the world to apply. Instrumentation and/or performance format is open, and applicants are encouraged to explore innovation, creativity, and/or a variety of styles. Preference is given to new or emerging music and premieres, but established repertoire that has not yet gained worldwide recognition is also welcomed. Performances should be between 5-15 minutes in length, and trombone (played by the applicant) should be a featured member of the ensemble.
The application deadline is October 1.
