This book provides a fun update to the melodic content of most first year method books and an expansion of styles that embrace other cultural influences. Each is musically engaging, fun, and playable by all students at this level. 12 Stylistic Studies fills a gap in our early repertoire that has largely remained unchanged for decades. It should be part of the curriculum for every private teacher that teaches younger students.
