This arrangement is for the ‘standard’ brass quintet of 2 trumpets in B-flat, F horn, trombone and tuba, and is in the key of F major. The arranger has created a condensed version of 35 measures only, of intermediate difficulty. The main melody is introduced by the horn in m10, then played in turn by first trumpet, trombone and second trumpet. All parts are fully occupied throughout with no rest. The trombone part, range c-f¹, is given in bass clef. First trumpet tops out at b², and tuba goes down to AA-flat. The final fff chord of C major is spread over three and a half octaves. This will be a great ‘encore piece’. Vikentios Gionanidis plays tuba in the Orchestra of Deutsche Opera Berlin.
