This is a very useful setting of a popular hymn for antiphonal trombone choir. Easy registers and simple style make it accessible to younger students and church ensembles. The two quartet choirs alternate short phrases of the hymn in a simple four-part setting to create a fun twist. The fourth part in each choir routinely travels into the pedal register and is truly a bass trombone part, though it could be played on tenor trombone or tuba. The top part in each choir does not get above f1, so it could be played by most younger trombonists. This useful setting would be a valuable addition to a trombone choir library at any level and even a church music library. AA-flat to f1. Grade 2.5
