Primary Genre: Solo Tenor Trombone - with piano

Impromptu was written in 1883 as an occasional, ABA piano piece to be published in the magazine Humorsticke listy. Ralph Sauer’s arrangement changes its key from D minor to C minor. Even though the tempo is fairly brisk, there is nothing terribly tricky about its rhythm. This short piece can add two to three minutes of music to a recital or serve as a nice piece to study for musical expression.
