Primary Genre: Trombone Ensembles - 4 trombones

This is a somewhat unusual arrangement in that the timpani is vital to its performance and so much would be lost without it. Do not even consider playing it without the timpani! There are three connected parts to the music. The first and last are quite fanfare-like while the middle section is more choral in style; timpani does not play in that part of the work. The keys used are C, D and G. Trombone I is given in tenor clef, the others in bass clef. Each of the parts has some action; it is not a solo with mere accompaniment. The first trombone needs a solid b1 while the fourth part will sound best with a bass trombone. There are not too many rests, so be prepared.
