Secondary Genre: Solo Tenor Trombone - with piano

Arthur Frackenpohl made a name writing for the Canadian Brass, as well as solos and chamber music. This march, though simple in structure, is a challenge for the younger player due to its shifting tonalities. The heightened use of chromaticism, at least for this level of player, gives vitality to the 6/8 rhythms, and its dynamic changes are well suited for the musical development of the performer. Range extends from b-flat to g-flat1. The work is dedicated to Alex Frackenpohl.
