Score and parts

Primary Genre: Brass Ensemble - 4 brass

A complementary pairing, these two short pieces fit nicely on a single page and are scored for two B-flat trumpets, horn (with trombone substitute), and trombone. The highest note for the first trumpet is a written a2, and the lowest note for the second trombone is F. Both pieces work well, and are useful additions to a well-stocked repertoire. A spare orchestration is utilized in the Fanfare where more than half of the piece is scored for two or fewer instruments. The Trumpet Tune is more traditionally orchestrated, though it provides adequate respite for each of the trumpet-players in its brief, binary form.
