Score and parts

Primary Genre: Elementary Material - ensemble
Secondary Genre: Trombone Ensembles - 4 trombones

Ronald Dishinger has arranged this march for a young trombone quartet and indicated a grade 2-3, which accurately reflects its difficulty level. The top two parts carry most of the material while the fourth part plays largely a quarter note bass line and the third part fills in harmonies. The first part goes up to g1 while parts two and three go only to f1. The third part is by far the easiest and plays the least. There is no tempo marking indicated, however the march indication in the title insinuates a certain range. If a moderate tempo is chosen the bass line can become ponderous; quarter=120 seems best. This is a readable and usable work for the young trombone ensemble.
